There are so many exciting things happening at the library this year!

A really exciting thing that has happened, is a large donation by an anonymous donor.  With this donation, the library is excited to announce plans to move forward with renovations in our current space. Efforts are now being made to contact architects and getting obtaining permits. 

The generosity of the surrounding boroughs and municipalities has enabled us to continue the incredible growth of the library.  During the past year we have increased our hours from 12 to 20 per week as well as expanded our patron base. In fact, in May 2007 we had 388 visitors to the library, June 492 and July 524. 

We have a new book club that is growing every month.  Each month brings new and exciting fundraisers.  New committees are forming to guide the future of the library in it’s growth.

Sixty-seven children participated in the successful 2007 summer reading program.  Our story hour has grown to 30-50 patrons attending a week. We also began a new and exciting book club in September.  As residents become more aware of our presence in the community we are continuing to issue new library cards. What an exciting time for the library as we look for new quarters to expand our already bustling library.
